Advance Histopathology Laboratory Ltd (AHLab) is an independent Diagnostic Histopathology laboratory. We are a UKAS accredited medical laboratory No. 9997, and registered with the Information Governance Office and Care Quality Commission.
Our history
Founded by the highly regarded and very well-respected Professor Gordon Stamp, who has over 35 years’ experience in leading academic and diagnostic centres including Imperial College, The Royal Marsden Hospital and Cancer Research UK laboratories, Advance Histopathology Laboratory have a panel of specialist histopathology consultants onboard working in the leading academic medical centres across the London Region.

We run a highly efficient, responsive and consultant-led service where our reports are directly sent to the consultant in charge of the care of the patient. We liaise with each consultant directly providing a first-class service at all times where we ensure all aspects of the procedure are clear and concise.
Our laboratory is set up to provide cover 7 days a week with a turnaround time within a day for small biopsies as an example. We are also reachable outside of normal working hours for emergencies and are here to support complex cases.
